RURAL RETREAT | STUNNING VIEWS | FAMILY FRIENDLY
James is your first point of contact for all enquiries & having lived and worked in the South West for 25 years, James has a magnitude of suggestions for places to visit, eat & drink; both on our doorstep & further afield
Mel is our resident social media guru & sounding board for all things Lake View Yurts. Mel's laugh is infectious & her calming demeanour keeps us all relaxed & grounded. When Mel isn’t busy putting her incredible skills into practice as a Primary School teacher, she puts her photography talents & social media know how into action, ensuring we get to share our yurt in all its glory
Freddie is our resident style guru and social media advisor. A budding artist and environmentalist, Freddie can be found ensuring no detail is missed when preparing our yurt for guests, in between rehearsing for his next stage production or creating his next artistic masterpiece
Poppy is our youngest team member & likes nothing more than getting out in the fresh air & mucking in. When Poppy isn’t perfecting her baking skills, practicing her clay pigeon shooting or being our resident Mary Poppins, our budding pilot can be found helping to get our yurt ready for our guests and ensuring that our little glampers are well catered for
Sarah is the unsung hero of Lake View Yurts! Always on hand to offer help & advice, Sarah wears many hats. In between looking after our various farm animals, making soft furnishings for our yurt & working on fund raisers for local charities, Sarah often steps in with yurt duties & is our resident host-in-waiting. Sarah is also the queen of the garden & is always happy to share her extensive supply of courgettes, runner beans & home made chutney
Following a distinguished career in commercial property, Peter loves nothing more than to be outdoors, come rain or shine. In between entertaining local care home residents with his amazing piano & singing talent, advising on anything property related & sitting on the boards of a range of charities, our resident groundsman loves nothing more than spending time on his digger, tractor & lawnmower! Fortunately for us, this means the grass is always cut to perfection, the woodland surrounding our yurt is beautifully looked after and the views from our yurt are the best in the county
Our small flock of sheep include our rare breed Castlemilk Moorit and Balwens who peacefully graze in the field neighbouring our yurt. Our pet sheep Kiwi & Chilli will no doubt come running for a cuddle!
